The
Control Centre
 The
control centre is the heart of the VICOS-LIO Automatic
Vehicle Location and Control System (AVLC). This system
ensures efficient operation for urban and regional
transport operators with more than 50 vehicles (buses
and/or trams).
The control computer software is open to a high level
of parameterization, meaning that it is possible to
satisfy the needs of operations of all sizes. All
functions are operated via a consistent Windows interface.
The workplaces of the dispatchers and system managers
can be used as remote workplaces, located anywhere
within the geographic region of the operation. This
is an important consideration when the control centre
has to handle vehicles from varying authorities and
operators (for example within a public transport corporation)
or if the depot is decentralized.
